Adele pointed out how people seem to be forgetting show etiquette, mentioning incidents of items being thrown onstage. With a touch of humor, she challenged the audience, saying, “I dare you, dare you to throw something at me.”

Lambert is not alone in addressing concert etiquette concerns. In a fan-captured video, British singer Adele was seen expressing her thoughts on the recent trend of fans throwing objects at artists during performances.

In recent weeks, artists have encountered troubling incidents involving their fans. One instance involved a man being charged with assault for hitting pop singer Bebe Rexha with a phone. Similarly, at a concert in June, an audience member slapped dance-pop singer Ava Max, causing an injury to her eye. Additionally, there have been incidents where someone threw a bracelet at Kelsea Ballerini and another person tossed a bag of ashes at Pink.

Experts believe that this behavior may be linked to the blending of online and real-life boundaries, as fans seek viral moments with their favorite artists, leading to unfortunate consequences at live events.

“The lack of respect for personal boundaries and the readiness to cause harm demonstrate a concerning decline in empathy and comprehension,” stated licensed psychologist Nathan Brandon in an interview with USA TODAY last month. “We need to delve into the reasons behind these attacks and explore the underlying causes or motivations that drive people to behave in such a manner.”
